Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult ICU patients with conditions ranging from trauma and cardiac events to sepsis and respiratory distress
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications while closely monitoring patient response
Interpret and document telemetry strips using GE monitors with tele tech oversight
Collaborate with nurse aides and healthcare support techs to deliver safe, patient-centered care
Float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed while maintaining appropriate patient ratios
Respond promptly to on-call situations, arriving within 30 minutes when called back in

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent ICU experience preferred
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation skills
Experience with drip titration including cardiac, insulin, and sedation medications
Comfort managing vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Ability to float between ICU, PCU, and MedSurg while maintaining quality care
Excellent critical thinking and rapid response capabilities
