Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced ER setting
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for acute and emergent conditions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care thoroughly
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary team members for coordinated care
• Monitor patient status, escalate changes promptly, and support critical interventions
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate and timely charting in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• One or more years of emergency department experience preferred
• Current immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency triage, rapid assessment, and prioritization skills
• Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration, and monitoring
• Comfort with high-acuity patients and emergency procedures
• Experience with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound clinical decisions
