Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency nursing care to patients with chest pain, respiratory issues, dehydration, orthopedic injuries, stroke, lacerations, and GI conditions
Perform triage assessments and manage patient flow in a 12-bed urgent care/ED setting
Administer medications, start IVs, and manage drips independently
Operate and troubleshoot vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen
Collaborate with ED attending physicians and mid-level providers
Maintain and apply advanced certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS required
Minimum 1-2 years of recent ER experience
Ability to work independently and manage a diverse patient load
Self-directed and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and procedures
Skill in managing vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen
Competency in interpreting telemetry strips and performing EKGs
Proficiency in point-of-care lab functions
Excellent critical thinking and patient assessment skills
