Location: College Station, TX

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, day and night available starting at 6:45 AM/PM, midshifts at 9, 11, 1, 3; every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and pediatric cases
Assess, triage, and treat patients in a fast-paced Level III trauma center with STEMI and stroke receiving capabilities
Administer common emergency medications and drips such as pressors and sedation
Interpret cardiac rhythms independently and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and a dedicated team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Participate in trauma codes and emergency procedures using your advanced skills

Qualifications

2 years of recent Emergency Room experience required
First-time travelers welcome to apply
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) before contract start
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in emergency nursing skills including resuscitation, stabilization, and rapid assessment
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Comfortable with high-acuity patients and multitasking in a busy environment
Experience with telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Knowledge of pediatric emergency care (hospital admits peds)
