Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Self-scheduling with block scheduling; 12-hour shifts, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to a diverse emergency patient population
Perform rapid assessments, triage, and life-saving interventions in a fast-paced Level III Trauma Center
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, midlevels, and techs to optimize patient outcomes
Manage critical drips, central lines, chest tubes, and trauma resuscitations with confidence
Float between Bryan and College Station campuses as needed to support team coverage

Qualifications

Current RN license in Texas or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience in a facility with similar volume and acuity
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) before start
Comfortable with central line placement, MTP, chest tubes, and trauma care

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Skilled in common ER drips: Diltiazem, Cardene, Nitro, Propofol, Fentanyl, Levophed
Experience with EMR systems: PulseCheck or Picis
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to adapt to a hybrid scheduling model
