Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients rapidly and accurately to prioritize urgent care needs
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient flow
• Document patient care clearly and timely, ensuring continuity between shifts
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license (able to practice in New Hampshire or valid compact license)
• Experience or strong interest in Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Demonstrated ability to perform high-acuity assessments and interventions
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; comfort with fast-paced environments
• Ability to pass facility onboarding and any required background/health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency procedures
• Familiarity with ED equipment and monitors
• Strong critical thinking and prioritization abilities
• Clear clinical documentation and electronic charting
• Calm, decisive response to acute and high-stress situations
