Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage and deliver patient-centered emergency care with urgency and compassion
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers and interdisciplinary team members to create and execute care plans
• Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data and escalate concerns promptly
• Provide patient and family education in clear, empathetic language
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Support a positive, team-oriented environment and assist colleagues as needed during high-acuity periods

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in New Hampshire or compact RN licensure as applicable
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing experience preferred
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in fast-paced environments
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities; patient-focused attitude
• Ability to stand, walk and perform clinical tasks for the duration of a 12.5-hour shift

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in emergency nursing procedures and triage principles
• Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients safely and efficiently
• Familiarity with electronic health records and timely documentation
• Skill in IV therapy, medication administration and wound care
• Effective teamwork, delegation and conflict-resolution skills
• Calm, decisive action under pressure with excellent prioritization
