Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in the ED
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and implement prioritized interventions
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses clearly in the medical record
• Communicate with patients and families with empathy and professionalism during stressful moments
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain best practices and compliance

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in New Hampshire (required)
• Prior emergency department or acute care nursing experience preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working 12+ hour shifts and responding to high-acuity situations
• Strong clinical judgment, prioritization skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Excellent communication and customer-service mindset when interacting with patients and families

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
• Current RN license in New Hampshire

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid assessment in the emergency setting
• IV insertion, medication administration, and infusion management
• Cardiac monitoring and basic dysrhythmia recognition
• Wound care, splinting, and basic emergency procedures
• Familiarity with electronic health records and clear charting practices
• Teamwork, adaptability, and effective crisis communication
