Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, timely emergency nursing care to patients in the ED
• Perform triage, assessment and ongoing monitoring for acute and urgent conditions
• Administer medications, treatments and interventions safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses clearly and thoroughly
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and discharge instructions
• Respond effectively to emergencies and participate in resuscitation and trauma protocols
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by supporting colleagues and mentoring new staff

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — ability to practice in New Hampshire preferred or required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred or obtainable upon hire
• Emergency department experience preferred; strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts in a fast-paced ED setting with calm under pressure
• Clear communication skills and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in triage, rapid assessment and emergency nursing interventions
• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation and charting best practices
• Strong situational awareness and ability to prioritize multiple patients
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient- and family-centered care
• Comfortable functioning in high-acuity, fast-paced clinical environments
