Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages with compassion and clinical skill
• Perform rapid triage and assessment to prioritize care in a fast-paced ED environment
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress clearly and timely
• Respond to emergency situations with calm, decisive action and appropriate interventions
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, discharge plans, and follow-up

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (LA license preferred; compact license acceptable if applicable)
• Experience or interest in Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification highly preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills, IV skills, and medication administration competency
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented emergency care environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid assessment in emergency settings
• Acute care interventions and basic critical care concepts
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
• Accurate clinical documentation and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and multitask during high-acuity periods
