Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour shifts (exact start/end times vary), includes day, night and weekend coverage

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
Administer medications, IV therapy and urgent interventions with precision
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement patient plans
Monitor critical patients, recognize changes in condition, and escalate when needed
Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic health record
Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families during high-stress moments

Qualifications

Current RN license valid in Hawaii (or eligible for Hawaii licensure)
BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
Previous emergency department (ED/ER) nursing experience preferred
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in fast-paced settings
Current healthcare provider immunizations and background checks as required
Professional, team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills

Education

ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing) or BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
IV insertion, medication administration and urgent interventions
Familiarity with EHR documentation and accurate charting
Ability to prioritize under pressure and manage multiple patients
Basic life support and advanced cardiac life support knowledge
Effective communication with patients, families and care teams
