Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate delivery of quality nursing care using ANA Standards of Nursing Practice
• Provide leadership and work cooperatively with other clinical staff to maintain professional nursing standards
• Support the clinical area's philosophy, goals, and the shared governance vision
• Participate in the EMR transition from Meditech to Epic and adapt workflows accordingly
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Maintain required certifications and ensure all credentials (BLS, ACLS, PALS) are current prior to start
• Support patient safety and recovery in the preoperative and postoperative (PACU) setting

Qualifications

• Current Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited or state board–approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
• Minimum of 3 years of RN nursing experience
• PACU and/or CCU experience required
• Epic experience preferred; Meditech experience expected as we transition EMRs
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification with cards in hand before start
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Willingness to work evening and weekend call rotations

Education

• Graduate of an accredited or state board-approved Registered/Professional Nursing program (RN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing, preoperative and postoperative care (Pre/Post) expertise
• PACU and CCU patient monitoring and recovery skills
• Familiarity with Epic and Meditech electronic medical records
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and participation in shared governance
• Excellent clinical judgment, patient safety focus, and clear clinical documentation
