Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and interventions to patients with respiratory insufficiencies
• Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilation (Servo I, Hamilton, V60, Astral) to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform ABG analysis and adjust therapies based on clinical data
• Deliver noninvasive support including CPAP and BiPAP and titrate therapy as needed
• Perform chest physiotherapy (CPT) and other respiratory procedures to aid recovery
• Document assessments, treatments and patient progress accurately in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute patient care plans
• Maintain and ensure readiness of respiratory equipment and supplies

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years current acute care hospital RRT experience
• Experience with mechanical ventilators and noninvasive ventilation
• Meditech EMR experience preferred by leadership
• Trauma experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation management
• Experience with Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators
• CPAP and BiPAP therapy expertise
• Arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpretation
• Chest physiotherapy (CPT) techniques
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record
• Strong critical thinking, teamwork and patient-focused care
