Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity, evidence-based nursing care for trauma, burn and surgical ICU patients
• Manage and monitor critical care equipment and therapies (ventilators, EVDs, MTP) with precision
• Respond rapidly and effectively during codes and emergency situations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate complex patient care plans
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Meditech to ensure continuity and safety
• Educate patients and families about clinical status, procedures and recovery plans
• Support unit goals by assisting colleagues, participating in bedside handoffs and maintaining patient ratios

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Minimum 1 year ICU experience (experience field lists '1')
• Trauma ICU, Burn ICU or Surgical ICU experience required — candidates without these skills will not be considered
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills (must-have)
• BSN preferred
• CCRN preferred

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• ICU nursing best practices and critical care workflows
• Experience with critical care equipment and technologies used in Trauma/Burn units
• Wound care, EVD management, Massive Transfusion Protocol (MTP) and code response
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR for documentation and charting
• Team-based approach, strong situational awareness and clinical judgment
