Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatments to ensure safety and optimal outcomes
• Administer and manage dialysis treatments and related therapies in accordance with protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Document patient status, treatments, and responses accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about dialysis procedures, vascular access care, and self-care strategies
• Maintain infection control standards and proper equipment handling to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of assignment (or ability to obtain quickly)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in dialysis nursing (as stated in the posting)
• Familiarity with dialysis procedures and vascular access care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required per facility
• Ability to pass facility onboarding requirements, including background and drug screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dialysis modalities and machine operation
• Patient assessment and critical thinking in an acute/chronic dialysis setting
• Vascular access monitoring and care
• Infection prevention and control best practices
• Clear communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary care teams
• Accurate clinical documentation and charting
