Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents during the night shift
• Administer medications and document responses accurately and on time
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and communicate changes to the care team
• Perform wound care and other treatments per care plans and facility protocols
• Maintain clear, timely electronic charting and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff to support safe outcomes
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers with professionalism and respect

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Rhode Island or compact/state appropriate for practice
• Recent LPN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or related clinical setting preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification
• Ability to work nights Wednesday through Saturday and commit to the scheduled shifts
• Up-to-date immunizations and willingness to complete facility background checks

Education

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma or equivalent from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Solid clinical assessment skills and the ability to recognize changes in condition
• Familiarity with electronic health records and nursing documentation
• Good communication skills for working with residents, families, and the care team
• Knowledge of infection control standards and safety protocols
