Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional respiratory care and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiency, asthma, pneumonia and COPD
• Manage and troubleshoot ventilators and high-flow devices (V60, Servo-1, Servo-U, High Flow)
• Deliver oxygen therapy, CPAP and BiPAP treatments and emergency airway support when needed
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized respiratory plans
• Document assessments, treatments and progress accurately in Meditech
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in stroke education initiatives and patient/family teaching to support recovery

Qualifications

• NBRC credential and active RT license required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Meditech experience preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong ventilator management skills including familiarity with V60, Servo-1, Servo-U and high-flow systems
• Proficient in oxygen therapy, nebulizer, suction and noninvasive ventilation (CPAP/BiPAP)
• Accurate clinical assessment and critical thinking for respiratory patients
• Solid documentation skills in Meditech or other electronic health records
• Ability to build collaborative physician relationships and take an active disciplinary approach
• Experience with stroke education and multidisciplinary care
