Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide advanced respiratory care, including ventilator management and high-flow oxygen therapy, to critically ill patients
• Perform ABG collection and analysis and adjust therapy based on results
• Assist with intubations and manage tracheostomy care to maintain airway safety
• Respond to code blue events and participate in emergency airway management
• Deliver bronchodilator therapy, airway clearance procedures, and patient assessments with clinical judgment
• Document care accurately in Meditech and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Safely transport patients within the facility when required

Qualifications

• Current RRT or CRT required
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
• Minimum of 2 years respiratory therapy experience (job posting indicates 'Experience: 2')
• One year of ICU experience preferred
• Proficiency with ventilator management and ABG analysis
• Comfortable responding to code blue situations and assisting with intubations

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation and ventilator management (Drager, Phillips V60 experience noted)
• ABG collection and analysis
• High flow oxygen therapy and Vapotherm experience
• Bronchodilator therapy and airway clearance techniques (Metaneb familiarity)
• Trach care and intubation assist
• Patient assessment and critical care decision-making
• Meditech documentation experience
• Code blue response and patient transport
