Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill oncology and BMT patients
• Manage ventilators and BIPAP settings and perform hands-on respiratory support
• Titrate drips and vasoactive medications safely and accurately
• Perform tracheostomy care, A-line management, and central monitoring tasks
• Deliver total care including turning, dressing changes, and strict infection control
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient care clearly and timely in the Meditech electronic medical record
• Respond to emergencies and use ACLS/BLS protocols when needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or compact RN licensure (valid and unencumbered)
• ACLS and BLS required prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience (per posting)
• Strong hands-on experience with ventilator management, titrating drips, and trach care
• Comfortable with A-line, IV pump management, and familiarity with CRRT is a plus
• Ability to work rotating nights and weekends and to integrate into a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• ICU nursing and critical care principles
• Ventilator and BIPAP management
• Titrating drips and vasoactive medication management
• Tracheostomy care, A-line and IV pump management
• CRRT basics and experience working with renal support therapies
• Experience with Meditech EMR and Flow-track monitoring
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
