Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions and adapt approaches as patients progress
• Document patient status and intervention outcomes thoroughly and accurately
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to coordinate comprehensive care
• Educate patients and caregivers to promote carryover and maximize functional gains
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to continuous program improvement

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts SLP license or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology - required
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
• Active BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Clinical SLP experience; travel experience is a plus

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
• Experience with dysphagia evaluation and management
• Excellent documentation and progress-tracking skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Caseload management and prioritization
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
