Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including every other weekend and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to post-cardiac surgery patients, including CABG, TAVR, and thoracic surgeries
Monitor hemodynamic status and manage advanced devices such as IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
Collaborate with intensivists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform bedside procedures including central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion while maintaining sterile field
Float to other ICUs and telemetry units as needed, ensuring continuity of care
Educate patients and families on recovery plans and post-discharge care

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience with Level I trauma experience
CVICU experience strongly preferred
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam and SIMs lab on first attempt
Strong IV skills and experience with Cerner EMR

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in critical care nursing and hemodynamic monitoring
Proficiency in cardiac surgery recovery and device management
Knowledge of sterile technique and bedside procedures
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
