Shift Type: Rotating day shift with on-call coverage; Regular day shift 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (daily), with required on-call coverage evenings/nights (call begins at end of regular shift: 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and weekends covered by on-call 24-hour coverage (Sat/Sun).

Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate in the Operating Room and CVOR for a variety of cases including general surgery, ENT, urology/gyne, ortho, robotics and vascular procedures
• Prepare the OR environment and instruments, maintaining strict sterile technique and patient safety standards
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative staff to coordinate efficient case flow
• Provide 1:1 patient monitoring and care in the CVOR when required
• Document patient care and operative details accurately in Meditech ORM
• Support preop holding and assist with patient preparation and handoffs
• Participate in on-call rotations, responding within the unit's required response time

Qualifications

• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years OR circulating experience at an acute care hospital (must-have)
• CVOR experience (required)
• Experience with robotics, general surgery, ENT, urology/gyne, ortho preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment and able to fulfill on-call weekday and weekend requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven OR circulating skills across multiple surgical specialties
• Familiarity with CVOR workflows and equipment
• Experience with Meditech ORM or similar EMR systems
• Strong sterile technique and instrumentation knowledge
• Ability to manage 1:1 patient care in high-acuity perioperative settings
• Excellent communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary surgical teams
