Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 4x10 day shifts per week (self-scheduled), 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM; some early shifts 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (or until structural heart case completion). One of the four days will be designated a late shift to finish the last patient of the day. One night on-call per week. Weekend coverage: one weekend every other month. Day shift with occasional night call and rotating late coverage.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and support diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including PCI and left/right heart catheterizations
• Prepare and monitor patients for procedures, including starting and maintaining IVs and managing IV infusion pumps
• Monitor procedural sedation and airway status using End-Tidal CO2 and other monitoring tools
• Manage hemodynamic monitoring such as pulmonary artery/Swan-Ganz lines and respond to dysrhythmias and emergencies with ACLS protocols
• Assist with device procedures including IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and rotablator atherectomy
• Maintain infection prevention and isolation precautions while ensuring topical hemostasis and sheath removal competency
• Document care accurately in unit systems such as EPIC, CUPID, MAC LAB and communicate effectively using SBAR

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required (HARD STOP)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proven competency with diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures, PCI, and vascular access techniques
• Comfort with advanced support devices and monitoring: IABP, Impella, pulmonary artery monitoring, ACT testing
• Experience with procedural sedation monitoring and emergency medication administration, including IV vasopressors
• Familiarity with unit systems: EPIC, Pyxis, MAC LAB, CUPID and strong SBAR communication skills
• Flu vaccine required per facility guideline (medical or religious exemptions allowed); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guideline

• Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), left and right heart catheterizations
• Cardiac stent placement, rotablator atherectomy, and vascular interventions
• IV therapy: starting/maintaining IVs and managing infusion pumps
• Hemodynamic monitoring including Swan-Ganz and ACT measurements
• Procedural sedation monitoring and End-Tidal CO2 monitoring
• Topical hemostasis techniques and sheath removal/monitoring
• Familiarity with TAVR, ASD closures, angioplasty and other structural/vascular procedures (preferred)
• Strong infection prevention, isolation PPE use, and SBAR communication
