Registered Dietitian

Location: Merced, California

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shift, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, may include weekends and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nutritional care to patients across telemetry, med/surg, general medical, and medical ICU units
Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on dietary needs and lifestyle modifications
Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate documentation and order management
Adhere to evidence-based practice and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Minimum of one year experience as a Registered Dietitian (RD)
Acute care hospital experience highly preferred
Current Registered Dietitian (RG DIETCN) certification
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical knowledge in low to moderate acuity patient populations
Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to patient-centered care
