Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams with precision and compassion
• Position patients and equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Ensure radiation safety and adhere to ALARA principles for patients and staff
• Operate digital imaging systems and manage image capture workflows
• Review images for technical quality and collaborate with radiologists as needed
• Document procedures accurately in the electronic health record
• Provide clear, calming patient communication and offer excellent patient care
• Maintain equipment readiness through routine QC checks and reporting issues

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiography or registry-eligible applicants considered
• Current Louisiana radiologic technologist licensure (or ability to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited provider
• Comfortable performing patient transfers and assisting patients of all ages
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team
• Previous clinical radiology experience preferred but new grads with strong skills encouraged to apply

Education

• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent accredited program
• Completion of a clinical radiography program and ARRT eligibility

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in radiographic positioning and technique
• Familiarity with PACS, DICOM standards, and digital imaging workflows
• Understanding of radiation safety, infection control, and patient privacy
• Ability to troubleshoot imaging equipment and escalate maintenance needs
• Good computer skills for documentation and image management
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient-centered care and teamwork
