Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams with attention to patient comfort and safety
Position patients and operate radiology equipment according to protocol and best practices
Ensure accurate patient identification and maintain clear, timely documentation
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and team members to deliver seamless patient care
Adhere to radiation safety standards and maintain proper infection control procedures
Assist with equipment QC and report any technical issues or supply needs

Qualifications

Active ARRT registration or registry-eligible in Radiography
State licensure as required by Louisiana
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
Strong patient care skills and professional communication
Prior hands-on experience in diagnostic radiography preferred

Education

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
ARRT registry eligibility or certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with radiographic positioning and exposure techniques
Familiarity with PACS and basic radiology information systems
Understanding of radiation safety and infection control practices
Ability to handle a fast-paced clinical environment and prioritize tasks
Compassionate patient care and strong interpersonal skills
