Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with care and precision
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring patient and staff safety
- Position patients accurately and explain procedures in a reassuring way
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and radiology staff to deliver timely imaging
- Ensure high-quality images and proper documentation in the patient record
- Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain compliance with facility standards
- Contribute to a positive patient experience through clear communication and professionalism
Qualifications
- Registered Radiologic Technologist or Rad Tech certification (ARRT preferred) or equivalent
- Valid state radiography license or ability to obtain licensure in Louisiana
- Comfortable performing a range of diagnostic radiography exams
- Strong patient care skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Basic familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record systems
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field, or equivalent clinical training
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient positioning and radiographic technique knowledge
- Radiation safety and infection control practices
- Proficiency with PACS and digital imaging workflows
- Clear communication and documentation skills
- Ability to handle fast-paced clinical situations calmly and efficiently
