Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for mental health needs
• Provide individual and group therapy focused on recovery and resilience
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and correctional staff to coordinate care
• Perform crisis assessment and intervention when patients are at risk
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and meet facility reporting standards
• Contribute to program development and evidence-based practice improvements

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychologist in California (or ability to obtain state licensure promptly)
• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred
• Experience providing mental health services in correctional, forensic, or similar settings is a strong plus
• Demonstrated competency in risk assessment and crisis intervention
• Clean background check and ability to meet facility security requirements
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team

Education

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred; master’s-level applicants with appropriate licensure may be considered depending on facility requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in psychological assessment tools and diagnostic formulation
• Experienced delivering individual and group psychotherapies
• Knowledgeable in trauma-informed care and evidence-based interventions
• Excellent documentation, case management, and reporting abilities
• Strong cultural competence and de-escalation techniques
• Comfortable working in structured, secure, and multidisciplinary environments
