Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and score pediatric and adult polysomnography studies, including baseline PSG, MSLT and MWT
• Conduct titration studies and manage therapeutic modalities such as CPAP, BiPAP, VPAP and ASV
• Monitor and document physiologic signals (EEG, ECG, End-Tidal CO2, O2 saturation, RIP) accurately using Epic
• Run and interpret seizure studies and recognize cardiac or neurologic abnormalities during testing
• Provide mask fitting and patient education on PAP therapy and oxygen administration tailored to pediatric patients
• Apply infection control practices and ensure safe, sanitary testing environments for all ages
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (respiratory services, rapid response, interpretation services) to optimize patient care
• Maintain clear, timely charting in Epic and communicate findings to the care team and families

Qualifications

• Sleep Registry required (registry in Sleep)
• RPSGT preferred
• Minimum 1 year of polysomnography experience with pediatrics experience required
• BLS preferred
• Proficiency with PSG scoring, staging and scoring respiratory events and arousals
• Experience with titration therapies (CPAP, BiPAP, VPAP, ASV) and oxygen administration
• Familiarity with monitoring equipment (EEG, ECG, End-Tidal CO2, O2 saturation, RIP)
• Experience with Epic or similar electronic charting systems

Knowledge & Skills

• PSG scoring and staging
• Mask fitting (full face, nasal mask, nasal pillow)
• Titration and PAP modalities: CPAP, BiPAP, VPAP, ASV
• Monitoring: EEG, ECG, End-Tidal CO2, O2 saturation, RIP
• Conducting MSLT, MWT, baseline sleep studies and seizure studies
• Recognition of PLM, Cheyne-Stokes, complex sleep apnea and transient arousals
• Infection control and patient education best practices
• Working knowledge of Epic charting and independent lab workflows
