Medical Laboratory Scientist - Generalist
Location: Dodge City, Kansas
Start Date: 07-13-2026
End Date: 10-12-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends and holidays
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank
- Ensure accurate and timely results to support patient care decisions
- Conduct phlebotomy on rare occasions when needed
- Maintain quality control and troubleshoot instruments using EPIC Beaker
- Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver excellent diagnostic services
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Must hold MLT or MLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Generalist in a clinical lab
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with EPIC Beaker LIS strongly preferred
- Phlebotomy skills required (used rarely)
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in generalist lab disciplines including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and microbiology
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems, especially EPIC Beaker
