Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
- Support safe transfers and positioning, using proper body mechanics and lifting techniques
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training to keep skills current
Qualifications
- Active LNA / Nursing Assistant certification (NH license preferred)
- Completion of an approved nursing assistant training program
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfort working 12.5-hour shifts and participating in orientation
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved nursing assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental patient care and ADL support
- Vital signs measurement and documentation
- Infection prevention and basic safety protocols
- Effective verbal communication and teamwork
- Basic charting and documentation habits
- Time management and reliability in a clinical setting
