Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and daily nursing support
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per orders
- Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor condition changes
- Document care comprehensively and maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate quality care
- Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
- Support smooth shift handoffs and continuity of care for patients
- Respond professionally to urgent situations and follow established protocols
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Georgia
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Completion of an accredited LPN training program
- Demonstrated clinical competence and patient-centered approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Prior experience in hospital or long-term care settings preferred
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic pharmacology knowledge
- Vital signs monitoring and patient assessment skills
- Wound care and basic nursing procedures
- Accurate clinical documentation and charting skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
- Time management and ability to prioritize during busy shifts
