Roles & Responsibilities

• Train and support all users of the EHR and ancillary clinical systems using classroom, one-on-one, remote shadowing and web conferencing methods
• Configure and optimize clinical content and decision support in collaboration with medical staff across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Develop clear, engaging training materials and deliver effective education to diverse clinical audiences
• Triage user issues, coordinate escalation to subject matter experts, and ensure timely resolution
• Continuously evaluate and improve clinical workflows and processes to reflect best practices
• Manage user accounts and application settings within assigned clinical applications
• Assist with implementations and provide hands-on support during go-lives and upgrades

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (Alaska) required; direct hire applicants must have applied for Alaska license before start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in a medical setting (clinical experience preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience with clinical information systems
• Minimum 1 year of experience with computer technology (programming, installation, reporting, or hardware work)
• BSN preferred; advanced degree(s) may substitute for minimum experience on a year-by-year basis
• Teaching or training experience preferred; inpatient clinical experience preferred
• Comfortable traveling ~10% of the time

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• BSN preferred (advanced degree(s) may substitute for experience)

Knowledge & Skills

• Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and clinical applications management
• Clinical content configuration and clinical decision support
• Clinical workflow optimization and process improvement
• HL7 messaging familiarity and integration concepts
• Scheduling, radiology, laboratory, and document scanning systems knowledge
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Problem solving, prioritization, and collaborative teamwork
