IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology)
Location: Los Angeles, California
Start Date: 07-13-2026
End Date: 10-12-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Days, 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, on-call (1-2 weekends per month, 30-minute response time)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $78 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures with precision
- Assist physicians during complex interventional cases like angiograms and stent placements
- Operate advanced imaging equipment including C-arm and fluoroscopy systems
- Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and image documentation in Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and techs to deliver seamless care
Qualifications
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- ARRT-VI (Vascular Interventional) certification required
- California state license in Radiologic Technology
- Fluoro permit to operate fluoroscopy equipment
- Experience with Cerner EMR is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in interventional radiology procedures and sterile technique
- Knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Ability to respond quickly during on-call situations
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent patient interaction skills
- Familiarity with PACS and digital imaging systems
