IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology)
Location: Bakersfield, California
Start Date: 06-16-2026
End Date: 09-15-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, with rotational call after hours and weekends
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $83 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures using advanced imaging equipment
- Collaborate with radiologists and medical staff to support patient care across multiple campuses
- Operate and maintain GE Innova, MedRad Injector, Angiojet, and GE Logic Book
- Assist in procedures such as dialysis catheterization, IVC filter placement, TIPS, and CT-guided biopsies
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during all imaging interventions
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours and weekend coverage
Qualifications
- Current ARRT certification (R) required; (VI) preferred
- State of California radiologic technologist license
- Minimum 1 year of experience in interventional radiology
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Experience with Cerner and Radnet EMR systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with GE Innova, MedRad Injector, and Angiojet equipment
- Knowledge of interventional procedures including dialysis cath, IVC filters, and TIPS
- Familiarity with Cerner and Radnet for documentation and image management
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team
- Problem-solving skills and adaptability to handle diverse patient populations
