Location: Brooklyn Park, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, days vary, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, resident-centered care that preserves dignity and independence
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility
Support safe transfers and ambulation while following proper body mechanics
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
Help with meal setup and feeding assistance while observing dietary needs
Maintain accurate, respectful documentation and communicate clearly with the care team
Contribute to a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

Current GNA or equivalent certification required
State certification or ability to obtain state GNA certification in Maryland preferred
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, compassionate attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and elder needs
Familiarity with infection control and safe handling practices
Good communication skills with residents, families, and team members
Ability to follow care plans and document observations accurately
Dependability, attention to detail, and a positive, team-oriented mindset
