Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients during the night shift
• Document patient assessment findings and care activities accurately in Epic
• Respond to on-call notifications and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage patient needs
• Administer medications, treatments and interventions according to orders and protocols
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly to providers
• Support safe patient handoffs and clear communication at shift change and with day teams
• Participate in unit-based quality and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license (eligible to practice in Georgia preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Prior experience using Epic for patient documentation strongly preferred
• Comfort with night-shift workflows and on-call responsibilities
• Successful completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and facility-specific onboarding
• Up-to-date occupational health requirements: TB test (2-step PPD or IGRA), MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, influenza vaccine, COVID-19 vaccine, physical/health statement and drug screen
• Fit test completed as required by the facility

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN, ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Epic documentation and clinical charting best practices
• Strong patient assessment and triage skills for overnight care
• Ability to manage urgent issues and coordinate with providers during night hours
• Clear verbal and written communication for handoffs and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Familiarity with BLS and ACLS emergency protocols and rapid response procedures
• Comfort with on-call procedures and flexible night staffing models
