Shift Type: Friday-Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (3x12-hour day shifts, block schedule) with rotating holidays; may also require occasional weekday evening coverage 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM and every 3rd weekend (rotating coverage). Day shift primary with rotating/occasional evening coverage.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging for outpatient, inpatient and emergency department patients using Siemens CT scanners
• Prepare and administer IV contrast safely and start peripheral IVs when required
• Execute advanced and special procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, CT arthrography, coronary CTA and brain perfusion with precision
• Operate and manage PACS workflows and ensure accurate image archiving and documentation
• Support a teaching hospital environment by assisting trainees and contributing to an educational culture
• Float to different units across the OSU organization as needed to meet patient care demands
• Adhere to infection control and facility vaccine guidelines, and maintain required certifications

Qualifications

• Current ARRT (R) certification; ARRT Advanced Cert preferred
• BLS certification required
• Ohio state license (OH) required
• Minimum 1+ year of CT technologist experience (experience in outpatient, inpatient and ED settings preferred)
• Proven experience with Siemens CT scanners and PACS
• Competence in IV start and contrast administration
• Comfort performing and assisting with special CT procedures (biopsies, myelography, CTA, perfusion studies)
• Teaching hospital experience required; community hospital experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required per facility guideline (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong working knowledge of Siemens CT systems (128-slice experience a plus)
• Proficient with PACS and imaging documentation workflows
• Skilled in contrast media preparation/administration and peripheral IV starts
• Familiarity with CT protocols for head, chest, abdomen/pelvis, spine and musculoskeletal studies
• Experience with advanced CT modalities: coronary CTA, brain perfusion, CT arthrography
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced ED and inpatient environments
• Patient-centered communication across all age groups (adolescents, adults, geriatrics)
