Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance
• Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient dignity and comfort
• Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff
• Support safe patient transfers and positioning while following care plans
• Document patient care accurately and maintain confidentiality
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth handoffs and continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in the state of practice
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus
• Ability to pass background and health screenings as required
• Reliable, patient-focused, and able to communicate effectively with patients and team members

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA program and active certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care techniques and safe transfer skills
• Infection control principles and proper use of PPE
• Familiarity with charting and basic documentation practices
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs during shifts
