Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
- Support safe and comfortable transfers and mobility for residents
- Assist with meal service and ensure hydration and nutrition needs are met
- Maintain accurate basic documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Clear background check and ability to meet facility credentialing requirements
- Demonstrated ability to provide kind, patient-centered care; experience in long-term care or skilled nursing helpful
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CNA certification (state-required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of ADLs, basic patient care and infection control practices
- Comfortable with lifting/transfers and safe resident handling techniques
- Good verbal communication and teamwork skills
- Basic charting and observation skills; ability to follow care plans
- Attention to detail and reliability in a fast-paced care setting
