Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, respectful personal care to residents and patients
Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
Support safe mobility: transfers, positioning and fall prevention
Document care and observations clearly and promptly in the chart
Collaborate with the nursing team to implement individualized care plans
Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment
Offer emotional support and companionship — brighten someone’s day

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania or eligible for state certification
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required
Up-to-date immunizations per facility policy (e.g., flu, TB screening)
Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-player attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in providing direct patient care and ADL assistance
Comfortable taking and reporting vital signs and basic observations
Knowledge of infection prevention practices and safe patient handling
Good documentation habits and basic familiarity with electronic charting
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work on a multidisciplinary team
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
