Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Support nursing staff by taking and documenting vital signs and observations
- Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and positioning
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in resident records
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and the care team
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused care environment
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required) — able to practice in Pennsylvania or willing to obtain necessary state authorization
- Valid CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
- Ability to pass background check and any facility-required screenings
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and hygiene assistance
- Measuring and recording vital signs accurately
- Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Infection control and proper PPE usage
- Clear documentation and electronic charting comfort
- Strong interpersonal skills and resident-focused care
