Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care that helps patients feel safe and respected
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) — bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient status accurately and promptly
- Communicate patient needs and changes to the nursing team to ensure coordinated care
- Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
- Document care in the medical record with attention to detail and timeliness
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (or equivalent) — ready to care from day one
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working 12.5-hour shifts and standing for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Background check and any facility-required screenings/health checks completed
Education
- CNA certification required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals and infection control practices
- Vitals measurement and basic clinical observation
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Accurate charting and basic electronic health record familiarity
- Effective verbal and written communication with patients and team members
