Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient condition accurately and promptly
• Assist nursing staff with procedures and safe patient transfers
• Keep clear, timely documentation in the patient record
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention protocols
• Communicate changes in patient status to the care team and participate in handoffs
• Support patients and families with empathy, respect, and dignity
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and help improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (must be valid in Georgia or eligible to obtain state certification)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or obtained upon hire
• Comfortable providing hands-on patient care and working 12.5-hour shifts
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced team
• Professional, reliable, and dedicated to patient safety and quality care

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Knowledge of vital signs, basic charting, and observing/reporting clinical changes
• Understanding of infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Good documentation skills and basic familiarity with electronic medical records
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to comfort patients and families
