Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) with dignity
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics
Document care and observations clearly in the patient record
Communicate effectively with nurses and the care team to ensure coordinated care
Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment
Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful, patient-centered care

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — Pennsylvania certification preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification, if required by facility
Ability to pass background check and drug screen per facility policy
Up-to-date immunizations as required by employer
Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-player mindset

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
Taking and recording vital signs accurately
Basic charting and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) or paper charting
Infection control practices and safe hygiene techniques
Safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
Clear communication with patients, families, and the care team
Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks during a shift
