Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans
• Administer anesthesia safely across modalities: general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care
• Monitor patients closely during procedures and intervene promptly to manage anesthesia-related complications
• Provide attentive post-anesthesia care and effective pain management
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Collaborate seamlessly with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and the perioperative team to deliver excellent patient care
• Travel to other ambulatory surgery sites when needed and adapt to different procedural settings

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
• Active state nursing license appropriate for practice in Michigan
• Current board certification required; candidates with lapsed board certification or new graduates are not eligible
• Ambulatory surgery center experience preferred; comfortable with a variety of case types including ortho, plastic, urology, GYN, ophthalmology, podiatry, dental, pediatrics, and endoscopy
• Willingness to travel to other ambulatory sites as needed
• Commitment to work within a reasonable local commute (not open to candidates commuting more than one hour)
• Not open to Locum or Locum to Perm candidates
• Open to H1B and J1 visa candidates

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in anesthesia administration for adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics
• Proficiency with general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care techniques
• Strong patient monitoring skills and ability to manage intraoperative changes
• Solid post-anesthesia pain management strategies
• Excellent clinical documentation practices aligned with hospital and regulatory expectations
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and teamwork with surgeons and anesthesia colleagues
• Familiarity with ambulatory surgery center workflows and case variety
