Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Provide compassionate bedside care and comfort that promotes dignity
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
- Perform routine documentation and charting accurately and promptly
- Support safe transfer and repositioning techniques to prevent injuries
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver resident-centered care with respect and empathy
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Must be eligible to work in New Mexico and able to commute to Silver City
- Comfortable and experienced with overnight shift responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care for adult or geriatric populations
- Willingness to pass required background checks and facility screening
Education
- CNA certification required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong hands-on patient care skills and ADL assistance
- Clear and timely documentation and communication
- Basic patient safety and infection control practices
- Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nursing staff
- Good time management and teamwork in a fast-paced care setting
