Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including assistance with bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility
• Take and accurately record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support activities of daily living while promoting patient dignity and comfort
• Document care promptly and clearly in the patient chart
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff to support holistic care
• Maintain infection control standards and a safe, clean care environment
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and unit needs as a reliable per diem team member

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain promptly
• Comfortable performing physical tasks and safe patient transfers
• Dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently on per diem shifts
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Availability to accept per diem scheduling with occasional short-notice shifts

Education

• CNA training certificate required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals (ADLs, mobility assistance, basic hygiene)
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Basic documentation and charting practices
• Infection prevention and safety protocols
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced care setting
