Certified Nursing Assistant - Long Term Care
Location: Orwigsburg, PA
Start Date: 05-26-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Day shift, 8-hour shift (exact start/end times to be confirmed with facility; typical day schedule)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on resident care including bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility assistance
- Assist nursing staff with daily clinical tasks and accurate documentation
- Monitor residents’ conditions and report changes promptly to the care team
- Support a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families, promoting dignity and respect
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania
- High school diploma or GED (see education section)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or obtain upon hire)
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, resident-centered approach
- Previous long-term care experience preferred but new grads with strong caregiving skills are welcome
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing and infection control practices
- Ability to provide personal care and assist with ADLs
- Comfortable with resident transfers and mobility assistance
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Teamwork mindset and effective communication with clinical staff
