Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (evening shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly
Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics
Communicate changes in patient condition to nursing staff clearly
Document care and observations in facility charts according to policy
Contribute to a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients and colleagues

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania or eligible for state reciprocity
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic clinical tasks
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Previous long-term care or acute care experience preferred but caring attitude is most important

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Patient-centered care and dignity-preserving techniques
Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADLs, transfers
Infection control and standard precautions
Accurate charting and documentation practices
Time management and ability to prioritize tasks
Collaborative communication with nurses and interdisciplinary teams
